One-time Firebase setup needed

This board uses its own Firebase project (separate from the Maintenance Board).

  1. Create a new project at console.firebase.google.com
  2. Build → Firestore Database → Create database
  3. Project settings → Your apps → add a Web app (</>) and copy its config
  4. Paste the values into the firebaseConfig block near the top of this file
  5. Firestore → Rules: paste the supplied rules and Publish
  6. Re-upload the file and reload this page

Inter-department communication, acknowledgement & closure board
Not connected to the database — check Firebase setup, Firestore rules for comm_messages / comm_config, and internet connection.
Message sent. The receiving department must acknowledge it from its own login; you will get a return alert when the job is completed.

📊 Department summary — sent, received & closed

Sent = messages this department sent · Received = messages addressed to it · Pending ack = received but not yet acknowledged · To close = completed, waiting for the requester to close

🔔 Alerts

Two kinds of alert: a new message waits for the receiving department to acknowledge it, and a completion alert goes back to the requester when the job is done. This page is view-only — alerts can be acknowledged only from inside the respective department's own login (Department login tab). Handled alerts clear after 24 hours.
